Job Summary: The Corporate Affairs Director will serve as a strategic partner to: Advance the organizations business interest and efforts as well as supporting the company to analyze and interpret the impact of relevant government regulations and policies and will work closely with the Saudi affiliate leadership and Lilly Global Corporate Affairs team. Establish and maintain positive relationships at all levels of government, public service and other authorities to enable high impact environment shaping strategies that accelerate access and support the Lilly's corporate objectives. Lead and be accountable for the public relations activities of the affiliate. Design, develop, and direct the Saudi affiliate public relations strategy to enhance the organization's reputation Own the PRA function for the affiliate across all therapeutic areas for pre- and post-commercialization assets. Develop and leverage alternative access programs to evolve the competencies of the team beyond traditional pricing mechanisms. Provide direct supervision to the Market Access and PRA team. Own the local content strategy for the affiliate with key strategic governmental partners Own external communications for the affiliate. Provide direct supervision to Communication associates (STA/ emerging talents)

Main Accountability/responsibility:

Strategic Planning and Business Ownership: Provide critical support and guidance to the affiliate through: Pro-active shaping of external environment to address access and reimbursement barriers/challenges and effectively navigate policies and develop response strategies that limit access to Lilly's innovate medicines and our ability to operate favorably towards short-term and long-term priorities Partner closely with internal cross-functional teams and legal to identify priority access challenges, assess trends and public affairs opportunities that will enhance corporate affairs strategies, maximize commercial success and build long term customer value Anticipates challenges, risk and advise leadership and cross-functional teams on potential impact, recommendations and solutions to mitigate risk Makes appropriate decisions and/or trade-offs in allocating budget and resources in Business plan and operating plan discussions that support the strategic long-term direction of the affiliate Pro-actively maintains a deep knowledge of business and access priorities to be able to provide counsel on policies, external landscape and trends that may impact these priorities and can leverage insights/knowledge to create value for Lilly as a preferred partner Identify advocacy opportunities including with KSA government and other external associations/bodies to advance affiliate priorities and pro-actively drive favorable impact for Lilly Collaborate with Global teams to ensure alignment of public relations initiatives that drive greater understanding and appreciation of Lilly medicines; promotes and protects Lilly strategic business, reputation and enhances stakeholder perception and competitive position Maintain strict compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.

Pricing, Reimbursement and Access Be accountable to lead PRA Management Payer partnership program and value message development Stakeholders' engagement and communications Dossier preparation and submission Clinical HO data, budget impact and PE Model analysis PRA (pricing, Reimbursement & Access) strategy development Expertise in NHIA reimbursement policy Be accountable to lead external Customer Management Deep understanding of country pharmaceutical and economic environment, and HTA process Participation in trade associations as appropriate (based on level of association) Involvement in political landscape/ appropriate participation in policy initiatives Identification and establishment of relationships with key decision makers for market access (reimbursement and pricing). Understanding of Global Brand Payer Strategies for prioritized products for respective business unit and incorporate into local strategy/ deliverables, providing local payer insights back into the product/Payer strategies through involvement in cross-functional brand teams and the brand planning process

External communications Be accountable to develop and lead an external communications strategy by analyzing market dynamics, identify and addressing business challenges & opportunities for the affiliate to be visible, shape the external market and strengthen Lilly's brand in the market on its core strategic priorities Partner with leadership team to ensure communication objectives and initiatives are fully aligned to the affiliate's strategic objectives and they support an enterprise focus and delivery of the Lilly, Saudi Arabia corporate narrative/voice. Accountable for managing communication with business resources, sponsors, steering committees and governance councils to meet strategic objectives and ensuring written and verbal content developed is consistent with Lilly Saudi Arabia narrative/voice. Evaluate and recommend new strategies and ideas for external communications, digital channels and engagement Provide strategic counsel to the leadership team regarding matters relating to external communications that support in driving the business forward. Provide support in managing complex external initiatives and vendors as needed. Use analytics to adjust tactics and measure impact of all external communications Ensures Lilly communications comply with quality standards as well as legal, regulatory and other privacy compliance policies/procedures

Attract, Develop & Retain Top Talent: Identifies, recruits and selects top talent internally and externally in partnership with HR, and in support of Diversity and Inclusion priorities Creates environment where the Corporate Affairs team is encouraged to proactively identify problems and develop solutions. Develops the corporate affairs team by providing a variety of experiences, monitoring progress and coaching/mentoring and embedding Team Lilly expectations and values. Creates an expectation within team and with peers that diverse perspectives and leadership styles will be valued and leveraged.

Develop High Performing/High Integrity Team: Build capabilities of the affiliate and function to effectively execute on corporate affairs priorities for key access milestones/objectives; sharing of best practices and learnings across affiliates to inspire innovation and encourages effective ways of working and ensure integrated, high impact strategies Creates environment where team is actively engaged, regularly monitor impact, and take appropriate action as needed. Builds team synergy by developing relationships of support, trust and knowledge sharing within team and with peers. Coaches first line leaders within team on how to effectively develop their people and manage their business. Evaluates Team performance against agreed goals & standards. Sets high expectations for team around compliance, then role models and coaches to these expectations. Provide reward and recognition of the team in line with company policy and Team Lilly expectations.

Professional Development: Keep up to date on trainings for professional development Ensure performance objectives are completed in line with company process (MyPM) Understanding and adherence of all company policies and procedures

Educational Qualifications Advanced degree/qualifications in health/public policy or related field Pharm D from top ranking University is desired

Knowledge and Experience Min 10 years' experience Proven working experience at a senior level with government officials in Saudi Arabia Proven track record for successfully collaborating and managing teams at leadership level Proven track record for successfully driving business improvements Solid knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment Must be comfortable with change and ambiguity Desirable: Proven experience working at a senior level in Corporate Affairs role with multi-national pharma company. Strong professional network within the pharma/healthcare landscape
