is responsible for overseeing and managing contracted services, vendors, and third-party providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of facility-related services. This role ensures compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs), safety regulations, and organizational standards while optimizing contractor performance and maintaining high-quality facility operations.
Lead the selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation of contractors and vendors.
Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing to ensure cost efficiency.
Monitor contractor performance against SLAs and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Conduct regular audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual obligations.
2. Facilities Operations Oversight:
Coordinate and supervise maintenance, repairs, cleaning, security, and other outsourced facility services.
Ensure timely resolution of contractor-related issues and escalate as needed.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, EHS) to align contractor services with business needs.
3. Budget & Cost Control:
Assist in developing and managing budgets for contracted services.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
Review and approve contractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contracts.
4. Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure contractors comply with company policies, industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA), and legal requirements.
Mitigate risks by enforcing safety protocols and conducting contractor training as needed.
Maintain documentation of contracts, licenses, insurance, and certifications.
5. Strategic Improvement:
Analyze contractor performance data to recommend process improvements.
Implement best practices in vendor management and facilities operations.
Support sustainability initiatives (e.g., energy efficiency, waste reduction) through contractor partnerships.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Experience:
5+ years in facilities management, vendor/contractor management, or a similar role.
Certifications:
CFM (Certified Facilities Manager), PMP, or related credentials (a plus).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), contract management software, and MS Office.
Soft Skills:
Strong negotiation and relationship management.
Excellent communication (written and verbal).
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Leadership and team collaboration.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid/on-site role with occasional travel to vendor sites or facilities.
May require after-hours availability for emergencies.
