What will you do? As a Senior Operations Consultant with expertise in Asset Integrity Management, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Reliability, you will lead specific workstreams within a wider transformation program, aiming at identifying, designing, and implementing effective solutions within the area of expertise. You will provide subject matter expertise and lead project teams to help clients establishing and implementing robust Asset Integrity Management, Maintenance and Reliability programs and, in particular, building organizational capabilities to sustain performance.
The ideal candidate must have strong expertise and proven experience in Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance Programs whilst also understanding the sub elements thereof and how it relates to and links with relevant Maintenance & Reliability related practices, coupled with excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills to drive client’s team and manage change in complex organization.
More specifically, you would be
  • Driving the execution of consulting engagements in the area of Asset Integrity Management, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Reliability as part of a wider engagement, to meet or exceed the client’s requirements and expectations and deliver superior value to clients. This entails:
    • Structuring and sequencing the project / workstream activities and developing a detailed implementation plan to drive execution of the project / workstream, taking into consideration the necessary links with other project workstreams such as Management of Change, PHA, etc.
    • Providing subject matter expertise in Asset Integrity, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Reliability
    • Assessment Programs (including specific areas of expertise captured here).
    • Leading the client teams along the different stages of the project (e.g. gap analysis, detailed planning, review and enhancement of Asset Integrity, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Reliability Assessment program and methodologies, building capabilities within the client’s organization through classroom training and coaching on real cases, etc.) and share leading practices in the area of expertise.
    • Developing appropriate maintenance programs that is tailored to the client maturity and environment to improve Maintenance and Reliability processes whilst strengthening Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance practices.
    • Oversee and perform checks and analyses to develop improve asset reliability at the site
    • Identification and implementation of improvement projects
    • Creation and updating of technical data, information and documentation for the task area
    • On-site advisory related to health-monitoring systems and analysis
  • Establish appropriate Mechanical Integrity & Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Reliability practices and procedures at site to ensure equipment is maintained from cradle to grave
  • Effectively communicating progress and outcome to different client’s stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifying issues and risks in relation to the specific delivery activities and liaise with the wider project team to evaluating potential solutions and pursuing the optimal course of actions to minimize adverse impact and maximize project success.
  • Lead team to ensure best practices are applied to processes such as inspection, test and maintenance practices
  • Provide expertise to optimize client inspection, test and maintenance plans based on appropriate risk-based methodologies.
  • Providing expertise as part of proposal development and support other team members (e.g. Senior Manager / Principal / Director) in meetings and presentations with clients.
  • Playing an active role in building the firm by:
    • Participating and contributing to functional and/or industry networks with the aim of developing and sharing best practices.
    • Providing feedback and coaching junior colleagues to support their development within the organization.

Who are you?
  • To be successful in this position, you would bring the following qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Electrical Engineering or equivalent; MBA or MSc, Phd preferred.
  • API, CSWIP/CWI, SSPC, NACE certification would be an advantage
  • At least 15 years of working experience in the manufacturing, inspection and maintenance of refining and petrochemical business / machine and/ or condition monitoring
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-working attitude to be able to work in multi-cultural and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem solving and flexibility to analyse and adapt to situations
  • Effective Leadership skills to drive execution in complex environments.
  • Strong/effective verbal and written communication to be able to interact at different levels of the organization, from Executive down to technicians and operators.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English. Arabic language will be a plus.
  • Ability to travel extensively up to 80 % of monthly time.
