- Develop and implement strategic business plans to acquire new clients in the construction sector while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
- Lead and mentor a team of experienced brokers and support staff, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth, client service excellence, and innovative thinking.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify new trends, potential risks, and opportunities within the construction insurance landscape.
- Engage in high-level negotiations with insurance carriers to secure competitive terms and comprehensive coverage for both new and existing clients.
- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance business development efforts and the firm\'s presence in the market.
- Ensure the brokerage team\'s adherence to all regulatory compliance requirements and internal policies, including those specific to the UAE and across the region.
- Deliver presentations and consultations to clients at a senior level, articulating complex insurance solutions with clarity and confidence.
- Drive the innovation of new insurance products and services tailored to the evolving needs of the construction industry.
- Oversee the claims process to ensure clients receive prompt and fair resolutions in the event of a loss.
- Report to senior management with performance metrics, market insights, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- A professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII, ACII) is highly preferred.
- Over 15 years of experience in insurance broking with a good portion of that in a leadership role focusing on the construction sector.
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition and portfolio growth within the insurance industry.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring successful teams.
- In-depth knowledge of construction risks, market dynamics, and insurance products.
- Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities, capable of engaging with C-level executives and decision-makers.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic or other language skills would be a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
