Senior Civil Engineer
Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer
Reports To: Civil Engineering Manager / Project Manager
Experience: Minimum 6 Years (with proven experience in Industrial Projects)
Job Summary
The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for the design and engineering of all civil and structural elements for industrial facilities. This includes site development, geotechnical evaluation, structural foundations, drainage, and underground utilities. You will act as the subject matter expert for civil/structural engineering, ensuring designs are safe, economical, and constructible, while adhering to stringent project schedules.
Key Responsibilities

• Site & Structural Design:
• Lead the civil/structural design for industrial buildings, foundations for heavy machinery, pipe racks, equipment supports, and storage structures.
• Design site grading, earthworks, drainage, stormwater management systems, and roadways within an industrial complex.
• Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures, including calculations for loads, foundations, and connections.
• Prepare and review detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Project Execution & Coordination:
• Manage the civil/structural scope from conceptual design through to construction support.
• Coordinate closely with geotechnical engineers, surveyors, and other design disciplines to integrate civil works with architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Review and approve shop drawings from steel fabricators and other contractors.
• Compliance & Standards:
• Ensure all designs conform to local, state, and national building codes, as well as relevant industry standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, IBC).
• Incorporate geotechnical report recommendations into foundation and earthworks design.
• Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols in all designs.
• Construction Support:
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and performing site inspections to verify compliance with design documents.
• Evaluate field conditions and propose design modifications or solutions to unforeseen issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in civil/structural engineering design.
• Proven and demonstrable experience working on industrial projects, such as industrial plants, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or heavy industrial sites.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or eligibility to obtain within one year is required.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g.,

, RISA-3D, SAP2000). * Strong experience with site development, earthworks, and utility design.
