The Senior Chopper Chef is responsible for all vegetable, meat, and seafood cutting and preparation, ensuring speed, accuracy, consistency, and minimal wastage while supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-volume chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning of vegetables, meats, and seafood
Ensure uniform cuts as per brand standards and recipes
Supervise junior staff assigned to prep work
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the prep area at all times
Ensure proper storage and labeling of prepared ingredients
Minimize food wastage and follow FIFO practices
Coordinate with production and service teams for daily requirements
Requirements:
5-8 years of experience in high-volume kitchens or central kitchens
Strong knife skills and speed with consistency
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to train and guide junior kitchen staff
Physically fit and able to work long hours
