A Senior Business Excellence Consultant is responsible for driving the Lean strategy, Operational Excellence & Process Excellence through continuous improvement across the Group’s elements of people, processes & tools/technology. The role is required to deploy the Lean framework to ensure consistent and rigorous application across the businesses in line with best practices.
Business, Operational & Process Excellence
Responsible for strategic improvements through development and deployment of Lean strategy from results achievement perspective:
Create and implement Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance of Group companies
Contribute to new business initiatives undertaken by the management and analyze their impact on ongoing Lean activities
Act as support to the Transformation Management Office with regards to design and development of identified Lean initiatives within the transformation program
Support in organizational development and decision-making communication
Periodically report to the management on progress of Lean projects, identified risks and issues/ problems, process dependencies, budget utilization, resource, identified, critical milestones achievement and required actions to ensure achievement of define objectives of Lean initiatives
Responsible for driving operational improvements through optimal synchronization of culture, people, resources and systems from a value creation perspective:
Define, develop and publish business improvement standards and process documentation to reflect best practices
Support the implementation of cultural change across the organization required to drive business improvements
Identify Lean initiatives aimed to assess and improve the companies’ core business activities
Identify and analyze complex operational data from multiple disparate sources in order to synthesize actionable evidence of root cause or improvement opportunities
Responsible for driving process improvements through minimizing waste for efficient & effective processes from consistent delivery perspective:
Apply Lean principles and tools with the goal of identifying and removing waste to increase process efficiency
Identify bottlenecks in Lean initiatives and finalize remediation action plans in discussion with stakeholders
Support the process owners in business improvement initiatives by providing business process/statistical analysis and expertise
Ensure alignment of Business, Operational and Process Excellence activities with relevant stakeholders within Transformation Office and/or across the Group’s businesses, functions or departments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or BA
5+ years in Lean &/or project management focusing on implementing operational change, management consulting experience is a plus
Hands on experience in delivering success change agendas
PMP/Prince II certification would be preferred
Knowledge and experience in Lean tools, including but not limited to process mapping, value stream mapping, Kanban, Kaizen, Jidoka, TPM
Digitally savvy; curious and passionate about technology, understands its impact on business and society
Ability to put theory in practice
Excellent time management, analytical, problem-solving, logical thinking skills
High level of commitment, perseverance, and ability to work under pressure
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
