to join our team. This role will be instrumental in defining, analysing, and delivering business and technical requirements that support regulatory-driven Open Finance initiatives across the
UAE (Nebras platform, Trust Framework, Consent Management, API Hub)
and
Bahrain (CBB Open Banking framework, Sandbox, fintech ecosystem)
.
You will work closely with the
Proxy Product Owner, technology teams, compliance, and external partners
to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality user stories, aligned to regulatory expectations and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis
Engage with stakeholders (regulators, banks, fintechs, internal teams) to capture business and technical requirements.
Translate Open Finance regulatory guidelines (UAE CBUAE 2024 regulation; Bahrain CBB Open Banking directives) into detailed, testable user stories.
Identify gaps, dependencies, and constraints across business and technology landscapes.
Backlog & Agile Delivery
Collaborate with the Proxy Product Owner to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
Write epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria following Agile best practices.
Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Ensure traceability between regulatory requirements, backlog items, and delivered functionality.
Process & Journey Mapping
Document as-is and to-be business processes for Open Finance use cases such as:
Account aggregation
Payment initiation
Embedded lending and wealth services
Consent and data-sharing flows
Develop wireframes, mock-ups, and data flow diagrams to support technical design.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
Work with compliance/legal to interpret and embed regulatory requirements (e.g., consent handling, digital certificates, customer dispute resolution).
Validate alignment of delivered functionality with Central Bank mandates in UAE and Bahrain.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams.
Facilitate workshops, sprint reviews, and showcase sessions with internal and external partners.
Testing & Validation
Define acceptance criteria and support UAT, ensuring features meet business and regulatory expectations.
Work closely with QA to validate APIs, consent flows, and integrations in sandbox and production environments.
Required Qualifications
Experience
: 8+ years in Business Analysis, with at least 3 years in
Open Banking / Open Finance
within GCC markets (UAE or Bahrain strongly preferred).
Domain Knowledge
: Strong understanding of:
UAE
- Nebras Open Finance platform, API Hub, Trust Framework, Consent Management, phased regulatory rollout.
: Hands-on experience in Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) - writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting sprint ceremonies.
Technical Acumen
: Familiarity with APIs, JSON, developer portals, consent/identity flows, and regulatory sandboxes.
Tools
: Experience with Agile tooling (e.g., azure, Confluence, Miro, Figma).
Communication
: Excellent facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Education
: Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, IT, or related field. Agile/BA certifications (e.g., CBAP, CSPO, PSM, SAFe BA) preferred.
Prior experience working directly with
regulators or central bank initiatives
in the region.
Exposure to
digital identity frameworks (e-KYC, UAE Pass, or equivalent GCC initiatives)
.
Knowledge of
embedded finance
and adjacent services (insurance, wealth, BNPL, cross-border payments).
Strong understanding of
data governance, customer consent, and security protocols
in financial services.

Pay: AED25,000.00 - AED30,000.00 per month
