Job Description

A leading bank in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our Open Finance team. This role will be instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating seamless integration of open banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Documentation

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for open finance initiatives
• Create comprehensive documentation including AS-IS and TO-BE process flows
• Develop detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Design and maintain message flows, process flows, and data mapping documentation
• Ensure all documentation meets regulatory compliance standards and internal governance requirements

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and regulatory bodies
• Facilitate workshops and requirement gathering sessions with cross-functional teams
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively
• Drive requirements clarification and ensure alignment across all parties

Technical Analysis

• Demonstrate strong understanding of APIs, including RESTful services and integration patterns
• Analyze API specifications and ensure alignment with business requirements
• Map data flows between systems and document integration touchpoints
• Support technical teams in understanding business context and regulatory requirements

Agile Delivery

• Work within an Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban) to deliver iterative solutions
• Lead backlog grooming sessions and refine user stories with the development team
• Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize features based on business value

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all solutions comply with UAE Central Bank regulations and open banking standards
• Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting open finance and banking
• Work closely with compliance teams to address regulatory requirements in technical solutions
• Document compliance measures and maintain audit trails

Required Qualifications
Essential Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in banking or financial services
• Proven experience working on open banking, open finance, or API-driven projects
• Strong hands-on experience in Agile environments (Scrum certification is a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to create user stories, process flows, and technical documentation

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of APIs, web services, and integration architectures
• Proficiency in creating message flows, sequence diagrams, and data mapping documents
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API documentation standards (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI)

Business Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements
• Experience facilitating backlog grooming and requirement workshops

Regulatory Knowledge

• Understanding of UAE banking regulations and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of open banking standards and frameworks (e.g., PSD2, Financial Data Exchange)
• Awareness of data privacy and security regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications (CSM, CSPO)
• Previous experience working in UAE banking sector
• Experience with digital transformation projects
