We are urgently looking for a Senior AWP Technician to join their team

Under direction, repairs/installs and maintains Aerial Work Platform equipment in a safe and professional manner, including DC electrical systems, hydraulic systems, & and associated equipment, as well as mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, and sub-assemblies, by performing the duties listed below.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to best practice safety procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain positive customer relations through professional interactions with customers.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of a variety of Aerial Work Platforms and associated equipment, which utilize mechanical, diesel, electrical and electronic systems.

\xc2\xb7 Use testing and measuring instruments to test, analyze, calibrate and adjust/ upgrade the JLG control system, Genie generic system, Teupen TODAC system, EZcal on MEC, Snorkel & Skyjack machines.

\xc2\xb7 Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections

\xc2\xb7 Lubricates and cleans parts

\xc2\xb7 Repairs or replaces defective parts and components.

\xc2\xb7 Starts / operates devices to test their performance

\xc2\xb7 Sets up and operates repair equipment and repair parts according to instruction & procedure

\xc2\xb7 Reads, follows, understands oral and written instructions.

\xc2\xb7 Issue \xe2\x80\x9cField Service Reports\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cService work orders\xe2\x80\x9d on maintenance tasks and faults, and the parts, labor and time taken to complete the task.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain service vehicle in a clean & professional manner

\xc2\xb7 Operates equipment, demonstrate and familiarize customers when necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Understand basic principles of various systems and components installed on AWP\xe2\x80\x99s.

\xc2\xb7 Conduct First check and final inspection of AWP\xe2\x80\x99s in accordance with TMW guidelines.

\xc2\xb7 Perform basic equipment repair and maintenance of machines at the customer site / in workshop and ensure proper operating efficiency.

\xc2\xb7 Use of basic testing and adjusting tool kits for the repair and servicing of machines.

\xc2\xb7 Strip, clean and inspect equipment components, identify faulty parts, rebuild/replace defective parts to restore machine functions.

\xc2\xb7 Periodic safety, operation and maintenance inspection of machines at various sites.

Requirements

Requirements

Certificate in engineering/ 3-5 years experience maintaining and/or repairing Aerial Work platforms and associated equipment.

\xc2\xb7 Candidates with 1-2 years of experience will also be considered but as trainee technician / junior technician for the time being and will progress as skills and experiences are honed and developed

\xc2\xb7 Manufacturers training on AWP repair/maintenance.

\xc2\xb7 Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of an additional language is an asset.

\xc2\xb7 Quick learner, eager to learn and develop.

\xc2\xb7 Valid UAE driving license.

\xc2\xb7 IPAF certification.
