JOB PURPOSE
JOB PURPOSE
- To carry out the review, comment and approval of all Architectural & Accessibility submissions for the Building Permit function.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
General
- Assist the VP, Code Manager in his/her tasks in the architecture/accessibility vertical of Tasareeh
- Assist the VP, Code Manager in performance measurement of Tasareeh and data collection
- Liaise where necessary with the Team Assistant and Team Accountant
Building Permit:
- To review, comment and approve any architectural and accessibility submission for Building Permit against the applicable building codes and standards within the approved KPIs and required quality and consistency.
- Generate commentary reports for rejected drawings explaining in sufficient detail what actions are to be taken by the customer in order to obtain approval from Tasareeh
- Liaise with MEPS customer service, clients and other authority related stakeholders.
- Coordinate reviews with other disciplines and teams within Building Permit.
- Ensuring that Tasareeh stays up to date on applicable architectural codes, regulations, and standards.
- Access MEPs where necessary and approve uploads made by customers after they pass Tasareeh reviews
- Ensure delivery of reviews within in-force KPI timeframes

External Interaction: Consultants/Contractors

Recommend or Approve Spend: As per the DoA
KEY RESULT AREAS:
- Customer satisfaction via successful operations of Building Permit.
- Delivery of Services on-time and to the correct level of quality.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Regular working hours, office based.
RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE
Min of 5 years of experience in Architectural environment or a similar function.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
Real Estate, Infrastructure, Retail & Fit-out
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Detail understanding of Local building Codes including but not limited to AD International Building Codes 2013, UAE Fire and Life safety Code of Practice 2018, AD Uniform Plumbing Code
- Knowledge of AD Municipality MePS system and internal building permit standards and procedures from building permit to final BCC process
- Work experience with Abu Dhabi Municipality Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the Organization
