Job Title: Senior Architectural Engineer - Execution & Finishes (Immediate Hiring - Local Hire Only)

We are a reputable Civil & Electromechanical Company urgently looking for a qualified Senior Architectural Engineer - Execution & Finishes who can join our team immediately.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Coordination

Oversee daily site activities related to architectural works and all finishing trades.

Ensure execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality standards.

Coordinate with civil, MEP, structural, and other disciplines to resolve technical and site interface issues.

Lead site inspections and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of architectural and finishes works.

2. Technical Review & Problem Solving

Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and ensure compliance with design intent.

Provide technical guidance to contractors and resolve design discrepancies or conflicts on site.

Evaluate alternative materials or construction methods when required.

3. Quality Assurance & Control

Conduct regular quality checks for finishes (paint, tiling, marble, joinery, ceilings, partitions, facade, etc.).

Enforce adherence to project quality standards, mock-up approvals, and snag lists.

Ensure corrective actions for non-conformances and maintain QA/QC documentation.

4. Material & Resource Management

Verify material availability and ensure correct materials are used as per project specifications.

Coordinate with procurement teams regarding delivery schedules for architectural and finishing materials.

5. Project Planning & Supervision

Assist in preparing project schedules for finishes and monitor progress against plans.

Manage subcontractors and ensure they follow approved schedules, safety standards, and workmanship requirements.

Plan sequencing of finishing activities to avoid rework and ensure efficiency.

6. Client, Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination

Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and project management teams.

Present progress updates and highlight potential risks, delays, or required design clarifications.

Ensure smooth handover of completed areas with all required documentation.

7. Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety protocols for all finish-related works.

Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental requirements.

8. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Maintain updated records of drawings, approvals, inspections, and site changes.

Assist in preparing closeout documents, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.

Job Requirements

Must be locally available in Qatar (Local Hire Only).

Must have a transferable visa with NOC.

UPDA License is mandatory (minimum Grade C preferred).

10-15 years of proven experience

in construction projects, with strong specialization in architectural finishes and finishing materials. Demonstrated experience in high-rise buildings and palace / high-end luxury projects. Strong knowledge of architectural materials, finishing systems, and site execution procedures. Excellent ability to read, understand, and interpret architectural, structural, and coordinated drawings. Strong coordination skills with other disciplines including MEP, Civil, and Structural teams. Thorough familiarity with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and other relevant local regulations. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and other relevant architectural / project management software tools. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to manage site teams effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
