Job Description
Employer: PHI Medcare Position: Senior Anesthesia Technologist Start date: As soon as possible About Us PHI MEDCARE is a private medical center in Qatar which specializes in Single Day Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Ears-Nose-Throat Clinic (ENT), Pharmacy and Laboratory. We are committed to bringing quality medical and surgical services and add values in the healthcare industry in the area of Lusail City. The aim is to be known for our excellence and establish credibility.
- Establishing, maintaining and recording the functionality of all anesthesia equipment including, routine daily, weekly and monthly checks on items such as Anesthesia machines, Infusion pumps and Airway equipment.
- Preparing and monitoring anesthesia equipment,
- Managing the daily workload allocation amongst the team
- Making decisions about prioritization of caseloads
- Conducting performance appraisal of the staff
- Supervising junior staff to ensure adherence to Qatar\xe2\x80\x99s health regulations.
- Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
- Ensuring that precautions are in place to maintain a safe environment (I.e. safely disposing of used and expired drugs)
- Maintaining sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for the performance of duties
- Reporting shortage of materials, ordering and approving replenishments when necessary
- Creating departmental budget proposals alongside the Accounting team.
- Assessing and ordering appropriate materials/equipment following discussion with senior staff
- Bachelor Degree in Anesthesia Technology
- Must have a QCHP license as an Anesthesia Technologist
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of total experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
