SENIOR ANALYTICAL CHEMIST As part of the Premier Oilfield Group, we offer independent formation damage services performing core flood laboratory simulations for well operations, checking compatibility with various fluids and rock samples for the Energy Industry. The successful candidate will be employed to work as a Senior Analytical Chemist in our Abu Dhabi Formation Damage facility. You will be responsible for independently working and performing all the chemical fluid analyses necessary to ensure that our services are of the highest quality and are performed in a safe and timely manner. Tasks associated with the position include, but are not restricted to:

• Sample preparation
• Performing analytical laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support investigations (following written laboratory procedures)
• Maintaining project documentation
• Reporting data using various software packages (e.g., Office)
• Operating and maintenance of laboratory equipment

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

• Essential: BSc/MSc/PhD in an analytical, chemical or related scientific field with demonstrated 10+ years relevant experience preferrable in an analyst role.
• Strong knowledge of chemical analytical techniques both theoretical and practical ( ICP-OES Analysis, HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, FTIR, UV Spectroscopy, pH etc).
• ISO 17025 experience essential
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to produce clear and concise reports (e.g. standard analytical procedure).
• Ability to liaise and deal with clients on all aspects throughout project lifetime.
• Computer literate and numerate
• Works well independently and also within a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and to work to client time schedules
• Must be physically fit as the role will entail a degree of manual handling/heavy lifting.
• Candidates should be aware that shift work may be required.
