Continue Your Journey Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Senior Training Advisor on a permanent basis based in Sharjah, UAE. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages the annual technical training need identification process with the business and HR.
  • Consults on and identifies specific training needs with sufficient technical understanding to source the most suitable training provider and engage on training content design.
  • Manages all planning and scheduling and ensures adequate provision of trainers to deliver training as planned and in line with business priorities.
  • Ensures programmes are deployed efficiently and effectively across the business.
  • Ensures the content and design of technical programmes is regularly reviewed, updated and kept relevant.
  • Supports the training budget management to ensure that the best use is made to upskill technical professionals.
  • Ensures that training is executed on time, to high standards, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Develops and maintains a list of vendors for technical and professional training.
  • Evaluates training effectiveness through feedback and assessments.
  • Manage and utilizes effectively the budget allocated for technical trainings.

Essential Skills:
  • Degree educated and with good knowledge of technical skills for engineering and associated disciplines.
  • Good knowledge of training curricula for supporting the development of technical and professional skills; familiar with essential concepts and terminology, and able to hold an informed conversation about technical skills with management.
  • Familiar with running training needs analysis and using the results as the basis for identifying the priorities for training.
  • Experience as a trainer or advisor of training for technical skills.
  • Good analytical skills to interrogate data, diagnose issues, and arrives at well-reasoned conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan ahead.
