Senior Administrator Health Informatics
Job Description
Apply a strong understanding of Health Information Exchange (HIE), Electronic Health/Medical Records (EMR/EHR), and practice management systems, including their interfaces with external systems.
Support the integration and interoperability of healthcare IT systems to enable seamless and secure data exchange across platforms.
Ensure the smooth exchange of health information between systems while adhering to industry standards and technologies such as HL7, CDA, and FHIR.
Utilize knowledge of health data terminology standards, including ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, and RxNorm, with familiarity in terminology services and interfaces considered an advantage.
Work with integration engines such as Rhapsody and contribute to managing Master Patient Index (MPI) where applicable.
Report activities, findings, and actions related to the MPI duplicate minimization program to the MPI Project Manager on a weekly or as-needed basis.
Coordinate with stakeholders to assess business needs and ensure IT solutions align with operational requirements.
Participate in modernizing legacy systems and implementing new technologies in alignment with the organization's digital strategy.
Liaise with other organizational units to support section objectives and ensure smooth collaboration.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Information Systems, or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in consulting or at high-tech companies within the healthcare domain.
