GroupM Nexus - Data & Technology is an Analytics, Technology, and consulting group supporting the buying & campaign delivery teams. We combine adtech and martech platform strategy with data science & data engineering expertise, helping our clients make advertising work better for people. You will help implement best practice across the ad operations function within GroupM Nexus. This will include ensuring efficient implementation of ad-serving, web analytics, audience tracking and optimization technologies. You will also be responsible for supporting internal and client teams with troubleshooting issues and being on top of future technologies and solutions. A Senior Ad Operations Executive understands the full digital technology stack and will work closely with our Programmatic, Paid Social, Paid Search and buying teams to effectively activate digital campaigns. They’ll need to have excellent technical knowledge, effective communication skills and an extensive experience in implementing digital campaigns. A successful Senior Ad Operations Executive will oversee day to day campaign tasks and manage stakeholder tracking requirements and collaborate with other team members within the Data & Analytics team in GroupM Nexus. They should have excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, stakeholder management experience and an eye for process iteration with a focus on delivering high levels of service for client success. A strong understanding of Digital Media is required to succeed in this role (Programmatic, Paid Search, Paid Social) and Digital Media metrics. Responsibilities:
  • Ensure your efficient delivery & accurate implementation of campaigns.
  • Management of the ad-server and its related processes, ensuring best practice is followed and maintained. Actively driving efficiency by building more automation, governance and consistency.
  • Ensure that all web analytics, behavioral targeting and other optimization technologies are implemented correctly in collaboration with the ata & Technology team.
  • Create & maintain and distribute supporting documents, e.g. handbooks, trafficking sheets, best practices.
  • Liaise with the creative agencies to ensure that creative meets requirements and is effectively delivered.
  • Contribute to the tracking strategies on the client’s digital properties to ensure effective user and conversion measurement takes place.
  • Campaign set-up and execution, including generating and testing ad tags for campaign launches
  • Complete quality assurance and testing of creative assets to ensure proper functionality across browsers
  • Ensure ad creative adheres to technical specifications and troubleshoot creative issues that affect implementation, tracking and/or reporting
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure the proper set-up and deployment of campaigns
  • Liaise with the digital account team to ensure accurate reporting, optimization and fulfillment of campaign delivery
  • Maintain records of creative assets and internal documents that track proposals and campaign execution
  • Use best practices to pace budget and optimize for performance where necessary
  • Perform reconciliations between media plans and 3rd party ad delivery
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to quickly resolve technical issues
  • Identify opportunities to implement solutions that increase effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Additional projects and tasks supporting the Ad Operations team where required
  • Liaise with platform/development teams to help resolve platform issues and provide solutions where possible.
  • Manage the resolution of issues and pro-actively guide the team with towards improving technical processes.
  • Offer deep ad tech stack platform knowledge covering custom variables, data pass-back, tech stack integrations, tag management, dynamic creative optimization, audience/re-targeting.

Qualifications:
  • Likely 3-5 years’ experience in digital ad operations. Media agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Google Campaign Manager (experience with other 3rd party ad servers a plus).
  • Comfort with Microsoft Excel and ability to consolidate information and work with multiple data points.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Web Analytics tracking, and Viewability/Verification preferred
  • Confident working independently as well as in a team
  • Able to understand complex data projects involving multiple stakeholders, taking a methodical approach to issue resolution
