The Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for managing client billings, collections, and receivables for contracting projects. The role focuses on progress invoicing, payment follow-ups, retention tracking, and ensuring timely cash inflows while maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and issue
progress invoices, running bills, variation claims, and final invoices
Trackclient payments, retention amounts, and advances
Follow up with clients and consultants fortimely collections
Reconcilecustomer accounts and statements
Coordinate withproject, QS, and commercial teams
for billing accuracy Maintainaging reports
and escalate overdue accounts Post receipts and adjustments in theERP/accounting system
Supportmonth-end and year-end closing
activities Ensure compliance withUAE VAT regulations
on sales invoices Assist in internal and external audits related to receivablesQualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field
5-8 years
of experience inaccounts receivable
, preferably in acontracting/construction company
Strong knowledge ofconstruction billing, progress payments, and retention
Hands-on experience withERP systems
(SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) Good understanding ofUAE VAT
and invoicing compliance Strong analytical, communication, and follow-up skills Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlinesPreferred Qualifications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
