The organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant with exposure to businesses in Iraq to join the financial team in Dubai. With its expanding presence in the Middle East, they need a talented professional to handle their financial success in UAE and Iraq.

Description
Oversee the accounting functions of the Iraqi branch, including tasks such as verifying and recording invoices, managing withholding taxes for suppliers and customers, handling petty cash, bank transactions, and other related activities.Prepare monthly PIT and SS for Iraqi employees and consultants.Collaborate with local auditors to prepare the Iraqi annual Financial Statement.Assist the local tax advisor in obtaining necessary documentation for the branch\'s operations, such as social security clearance, tax clearance, and license renewal.Provide support to Iraqi projects regarding administrative and fiscal matters.Engage in frequent travel to Iraq to visit public offices, align with the local team, and liaise with tax consultants.

Profile
University degree in Economics, Business, Administration or Accounting.Professional qualification (CA, CMA, CPA, etc.) would be an added benefitAt least 5 years of experience within the finance function - within oil and gas or any related industry would be beneficialExperience in understanding financials for businesses based in Iraq is absolutely mandatoryInternational and multinational exposureExperienced in IFRS
