The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting audits. The role also involves handling day-to-day accounting activities and ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Accounting & Finance or MBA in Finance.
5 years of UAE experience in the accounting field.
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Free Zone company experience is an added advantage.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Tally, and customized ERP systems.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Receivable Management:
Oversee the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collections and accurate recording.
Payroll Processing:
Manage payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and on-time payments.
Banking and Loan Processing:
Experience working with online banking systems, managing bank transactions, and processing bank loans.
UAE VAT & IFRS Knowledge:
Must have in-depth knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, IFRS standards, and various customs procedures.
General Ledger Accounts:
Maintain and review general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
Cash Flow & Budget Management:
Manage cash flow, prepare budgets, conduct forecasting, and perform variance analysis to ensure financial stability.
Audit Support:
Assist in the preparation and support of various company audits to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
Closing Activities:
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare error-free financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other key financial reports.
Inter-Company Transactions:
Experience in handling inter-company account transactions and ensuring accurate reconciliation.
P&L & Balance Sheet Management:
Prepare monthly and annual P&L accounts and balance sheets, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
