Senior Accountant

Job Description

? Evaluating new credit applications and conducting Customer credit checks.
? Managing and collecting account receivables from the customers of different
sales channels.
? Regular follow ups with salesmen and customers on the outstanding debt by
phone, emails and business visits.
? Creation of Customer account and updating all the customers details in
Customer Master
? Processing/approving sales order post clearance of customer outstanding,
credit limits etc.
? Setting up the payment terms of credit for new customers and negotiating
payment plans.
? Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
? Responding to customers inquiries relating to account receivable.
? Processing invoices and managing the sales ledger.
? Preparing outstanding reports / statements for the company management.
? Liaising with customers and the sales team.
? Reconciliation of banks and complex customer accounts.
? Strong communication skill and ability to deal with the clients.
? Proficient in Accounting and Office software.
? Good understanding of the legal complexities of distribution agreements and
to ensure it is followed by the customers.
? Handling foreign currencies and Imprest account, VAT accounting.
? Working with spreadsheets, general ledgers and journal vouchers.
? Handling / Retrieving customers file credit application forms, trading
Licenses, agreements and other documents.
? Accounting AR, receipts, debit/credit notes, journal vouchers
? Group Accounts Receivable Ageing report.
? Any other tasks assigned by HOD.
Requirements;
  • Bachelor\'s degree in finance and accounting.
  • Previous work experience as a credit controller.
  • Strong communication skill and ability to deal with the clients.
  • Proficient in Accounting and Office software.
  • Good understanding of the legal complexities of distribution agreements and
to ensure it is followed by the customers.
  • Professional manner and strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask, commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Exceptional time management, verbal and written communication skills
