Senior Accountant - Building Materials Trading company (Startup) We are hiring a
Senior Accountant
for a newly established building materials trading company located in
Ras Al Khaimah
. The ideal candidate must have strong familiarity with the building materials trading and be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage full accounting cycle, daily transactions, and month-end closing
2. Handle VAT registration, filings, Corporate Tax (CT) compliance, and related documentation
3. Prepare bank reconciliations, manage LC/TT payments, and coordinate with banks
4. Oversee inventory accounting for computer components and peripherals
5. Maintain accurate books through Tally and ERP systems
6. Set up and manage internal financial controls suitable for a startup
7. Coordinate with management, suppliers, customers, and auditors Additional Preferred
Skills:
1. Knowledge of customer and supplier credit evaluation
2. Understanding of credit insurance, limit applications, and documentation
3. Familiarity with credit terms commonly in the construction market Requirements: 4-6+ years of accounting experience, preferably in computer market trading Hands-on experience with Tally and at least one major ERP package Strong knowledge of VAT, CT, banking operations, and trading cycles Excellent Excel skills and data accuracy mindset Soft
Skills: Strong communication and coordination abilities Proactive, organized, and able to work independently in a startup setup Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
