Prepare and review
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
in compliance with IFRS.
Handle
corporate tax and VAT
computations, filings, and compliance as per UAE tax regulations.
Support the implementation and maintenance of
tax documentation and audit requirements
.
Oversee
project accounting
-- monitor costs, progress billing, and job cost analysis for shipbuilding and repair projects.
Maintain accurate records of
inventory, fixed assets, and work-in-progress (WIP)
.
Assist in
budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
to support management decisions.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders during audits and reviews.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Support
ERP system enhancements
and financial process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
5-8 years of accounting experience
, with at least
2 years in shipbuilding, marine, or heavy industry
.
Strong knowledge of
UAE Corporate Tax and VAT laws
with proven filing experience.
Proficient in
ERP/accounting systems
(SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of
project costing, WIP, and financial controls
.
Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
