Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Manage the company's
day-to-day accounting operations
, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations. Prepare and reviewmonthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
in compliance with IFRS. Handlecorporate tax and VAT
computations, filings, and compliance as per UAE tax regulations. Support the implementation and maintenance oftax documentation and audit requirements
. Overseeproject accounting
-- monitor costs, progress billing, and job cost analysis for shipbuilding and repair projects. Maintain accurate records ofinventory, fixed assets, and work-in-progress (WIP)
. Assist inbudgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
to support management decisions. Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders during audits and reviews. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies. SupportERP system enhancements
and financial process improvements.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
5-8 years of accounting experience
, with at least2 years in shipbuilding, marine, or heavy industry
. Strong knowledge ofUAE Corporate Tax and VAT laws
with proven filing experience. Proficient inERP/accounting systems
(SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel. Strong understanding ofproject costing, WIP, and financial controls
. Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.Job Type: Full-time
