Job Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced

Senior Accountant

with strong UAE background to manage the full spectrum of accounting, VAT compliance, inventory control, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full accounting cycle (GL, AR, AP, Bank, Inventory). Prepare monthly

P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow

and management reports. Handle

VAT Input/Output

, filing through FTA portal, and reconciliation. Maintain accurate

inventory accounting

(FIFO/Weighted Average). Perform

COGS calculation

and stock adjustments. Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts. Prepare payment schedules, vendor aging, and receivables aging. Monitor credit limits for distributors/wholesalers. Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with UAE regulations. Manage import documentation: invoices, BL, packing list, GRN. Support management with budgeting and cost analysis. Ensure accounting records follow IFRS and internal policies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (mandatory). Minimum

5-7 years UAE experience

as Senior Accountant. Strong knowledge of

UAE VAT regulations

and FTA procedures. Experience in

Trading/FMCG

(experience in tobacco is a plus). Proficient in

ERP systems

(Tally ERP / SAP B1). Excellent skills in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, reports). Strong attention to detail and high accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience handling import/export documentation. Knowledge of aging analysis and credit control. Experience in warehouse reconciliation. Understanding of Corporate Tax requirements.
