Our finance team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the communities we manage. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join us. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial, supervisory and analytical skills.
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. The role involves overseeing general ledger activities, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Review bank, account, and intercompany reconciliations.
Review and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Assist in the budgeting
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal financial controls.
Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
Review payroll entries and ensure accurate posting in the ledger.
Prepare VAT and corporate returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., UAE VAT).
Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance when required.
Support management with ad-hoc financial reports and analyses.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 4-6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local taxation requirements.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS formulas).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
