to oversee and manage the complete accounting operations of our
4 supermarket branches
. The ideal candidate should have strong financial expertise in the retail/supermarket sector, hands-on experience in GCC accounting standards, and the ability to independently manage day-to-day financial activities with accuracy and professionalism.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for all 4 supermarket outlets.
Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.
Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
Analyze financial performance, variances, and provide management with insights for improvement.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Manage supplier invoices, payments, and credit terms.
Ensure timely collection of receivables and proper reconciliation.
Coordinate with vendors to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
3. Cash & Sales Reconciliation
Monitor daily sales, POS reports, and cash reconciliation across all branches.
Verify cash deposits, credit card settlements, and ensure no discrepancies.
Conduct surprise cash audits at branches when required.
4. Inventory & Cost Control
Work closely with store managers on stock movements, purchase orders, and GRN verification.
Monitor wastage, expiry, shrinkage, and prepare cost variance reports.
Ensure correct item costing and support in periodic stock audits.
5. Payroll & HR Coordination
Process monthly payroll, overtime calculations, leave encashments, and deductions.
Update attendance and coordinate with HR for staff-related financial matters.
6. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with GCC tax regulations (VAT), audit requirements, and financial policies.
Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions.
Support external audits by providing required documents and clarifications.
7. Banking & Payments
Handle bank reconciliations, online banking transactions, and cheque management.
Manage loan/advance tracking and vendor payment schedules.
8. Management Support
Provide financial advice to management for budgeting and cost saving.
Assist in preparing feasibility reports for new projects or promotions.
Monitor cash flow and alert management of any financial risks.
Skills & Competencies Required
Strong knowledge of GCC accounting standards and VAT.
Excellent experience in retail/supermarket accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP, QuickBooks).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple branches independently.
Excellent communication skills in English & Malayalam.
High level of responsibility, accuracy, and trustworthiness.
