Job Title: Senior Accountant For An Audit Firm

Location: Deira, Dubai

Department: Audit and Assurance

Reports To: Audit Manager / Partner

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in accounting/audit

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our audit firm. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in accounting and audit, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves leading audit engagements, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously from planning to completion.

Review financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

Identify audit issues and propose solutions.

Supervise and mentor junior auditors and accountants.

Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary documentation and provide audit updates.

Perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations.

Prepare and review working papers and audit documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Communicate with clients regarding audit findings and provide actionable recommendations.

Stay current on industry trends, accounting regulations, and best practices.

Assist in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA certification preferred).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an audit firm.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and audit standards.

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

High level of integrity and professionalism.
