Job Description

We are a well-established UK accountancy firm with over 90 staff and a strong track record of growth. As part of our international expansion, we are opening a new office in Dubai and are seeking an experienced Practice Manager with strong knowledge of UAE tax and compliance to lead the practice.

This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in building and managing a new office while being backed by the resources and expertise of an established firm.

Key Responsibilities

Practice & Operations

Oversee daily operations of the Dubai office, ensuring workflows, deadlines, and deliverables are met. Implement best practices aligned with our UK head office standards. Ensure compliance with both UAE and UK accounting/tax regulations.

Client Management

Act as the main point of contact for clients in the UAE. Provide advice on UAE VAT and Corporate Tax alongside international tax considerations. Ensure AML/KYC and regulatory compliance for all clients.

Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team in Dubai. Foster collaboration with our 90+ staff across the UK and international offices. Ensure professional development and adherence to quality standards.

Compliance & Risk

Manage FTA submissions for VAT and Corporate Tax. Maintain practice-wide risk management and ensure internal policies are followed. Support clients with investigations and compliance matters.

Finance & Reporting

Oversee billing, collections, and financial performance of the Dubai office. Produce and present performance reports to senior management. Contribute to the firm's growth strategy in the GCC.

Requirements

FTA Tax Agent status (or eligibility to register) highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. Professional accounting/tax qualification: ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, or equivalent. Proven experience in practice management or a senior accountancy role. Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills. Ability to work independently in a new and dynamic market. Based in Dubai or willing to relocate.
