We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced

Senior Accountant

to join our dynamic marketing and events agency. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the agency's financial health, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of project-based accounting, cost control, and cash flow management within the creative services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements. Oversee client invoicing, supplier payments, and vendor reconciliations. Monitor project budgets, track costs against estimates, and report variances. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT filings and audits. Manage cash flow, forecast financial positions, and provide recommendations for optimal resource allocation. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions as required. Support management with financial analysis, profitability reports, and pricing strategies for campaigns, activations, and events. Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Mentor and support junior accounting staff, if applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred). Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. Prior experience in marketing, advertising, media, or events industry is highly preferred. Strong understanding of project-based accounting and cost management. Proficient in accounting software and Excel. Solid knowledge of UAE VAT regulations (or applicable local tax laws). Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
