Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices. Perform day-to-day accounting activities such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements). Generate budget vs. actual reports and provide variance analysis.
Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT and corporate tax.Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for cost optimisation.
Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role (6 years of experience).
Proficiency in accounting software Zoho-books and MS Excel.Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
