Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage accounting operations with a strong focus on

production and contracting activities

. The role requires

extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365

, ensuring accurate financial reporting, project costing, and full compliance with IFRS and Qatar regulations, while supporting finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets using

Microsoft Dynamics 365

Handle

project and contract accounting

, including job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, variations, and claims Monitor and control

production and project costs

, including materials, labor, and overheads Prepare and review monthly financial reports and schedules in line with IFRS Support month-end and year-end closing activities Ensure compliance with Qatar Tax Law, MOCI requirements, and other statutory obligations Assist in corporate tax, withholding tax, and Zakat (where applicable) Coordinate with auditors and support audit processes Ensure payroll compliance with Qatar Labour Law and WPS Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting Prepare cost variance analysis and profitability reports Coordinate with project managers, production, and procurement teams Guide and support junior accounting staff as required
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred

More than 8 years of accounting experience in production and contracting companies

Mandatory hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations)

Strong knowledge of project costing, BOQs, WIP, and contract-based revenue recognition Solid understanding of IFRS and Qatar tax and commercial regulations Advanced Excel and reporting skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities Qatar or GCC experience is highly preferred
