Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in auditing, ideally within the medical or healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial audits for a healthcare provider in Qatar.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS) and Qatari regulations.

General Ledger Management:

Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to ensure the organization meets its financial objectives.

Auditing:

Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and financial standards. Strong auditing background preferred.

Compliance & Regulation:

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and healthcare industry standards. Work closely with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Financial Analysis:

Perform financial analysis and provide insights into cost control, profit margins, and efficiency improvements.

Accounts Payable/Receivable:

Supervise accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.

Cost Accounting:

Implement cost accounting procedures to monitor and control healthcare-related expenses.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree/Master in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a plus. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in the medical or healthcare sector. Experience in auditing is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare accounting standards, tax regulations, and auditing procedures. Familiarity with Qatar's financial regulations and compliance requirements. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
