Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant at Fold Baked Goods is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and strategies, ensuring financial health, regulatory compliance, and support for growth initiatives. This role is key in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and managing risk while supporting decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management.

2. Accounting & Compliance

Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger. Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and prepare for audits.

3. Cost Control & Profitability

Monitor production costs, inventory, and margins across bakery operations. Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and profitability. Track capital expenditures and ROI on strategic investments.

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Manage company cash flow and liquidity. Oversee banking relationships and monitor fund transfers.

5. Strategic Support

Partner with operations and marketing teams on financial impact of projects. Support pricing strategy and product costing.

6. Team Leadership

Lead and develop a small finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA is a plus). 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in FMCG, food service, or manufacturing. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations. Experience with ERP systems and financial software. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
