Job Description

We are looking for a

Senior Accountant

with strong financial acumen and industry experience to manage the daily accounting operations of our F&B retail outlets. This role involves overseeing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, handling inventory and cost accounting, ensuring VAT compliance, and supporting audits and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

General Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain accurate general ledger entries for all F&B outlets. Review and reconcile daily sales reports, POS data, and cash collections. Manage accounts payable and receivable including supplier payments and customer collections.
2.

Inventory & Cost Control

Monitor inventory movements and stock variances across outlets. Reconcile kitchen/warehouse stock with system reports. Analyze food cost, wastage, and margins, and prepare related reports.
3.

Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support budget preparation and variance analysis. Submit P&L reports by outlet and provide profitability insights.
4.

Banking & Treasury

Reconcile bank statements and maintain cash flow forecasts. Monitor outlet cash deposits and ensure timely banking.
5.

Tax & Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings and compliance with FTA regulations. Prepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audits. Support corporate compliance with UAE labor and commercial laws.
6.

Payroll & Staff Cost

Collaborate with HR to process monthly payroll, gratuity, and leave provisions. Track employee benefits, advances, and deductions.

Key Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. (CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred)

Experience:

4-6 years in accounting; minimum 2 years in F&B, retail, or hospitality.

Software:

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems), MS Excel.

Language:

Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with high accuracy Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Understanding of UAE VAT laws and financial regulations

Working Conditions:

Based at head office with occasional visits to outlets. May involve working late during month-end/year-end closing periods.

Pay: From AED7,000.00 per month
