Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the full accounting cycle of the aluminium/uPVC manufacturing factory, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, compliance with local regulations, and supporting management with financial analysis and budgeting.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting

Manage full accounting cycle: GL, AR, AP, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Control

Monitor

production costs

, raw material consumption, and wastage (aluminium, uPVC, accessories) Prepare

cost sheets

for windows, doors, curtain wall, and fabrication activities Analyze variances between standard and actual costs Track machine cost, labor cost, and overhead allocation

Inventory & Stores Accounting

Control and reconcile

raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory

Coordinate with stores and production departments for stock verification Implement inventory valuation methods (FIFO / weighted average) Monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock

Budgeting & Cash Flow

Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts Monitor cash flow, supplier payments, and customer collections Assist management in financial planning and decision-making

VAT & Compliance (UAE)

Handle

VAT accounting, filing, and reconciliation

Ensure proper VAT treatment for projects, exports, and zero-rated supplies Maintain compliance with UAE VAT laws and audit requirements

ERP & System Control

Maintain accounting records in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Odoo, or similar) Ensure proper integration between accounting, procurement, and production modules

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce Professional certification is an advantage (CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA)

Experience

7-10 years of accounting experience

At least 3-5 years in aluminium or uPVC manufacturing factory

Strong experience in

cost accounting and factory operations

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of

manufacturing accounting & cost control

Hands-on experience with ERP systems Advanced Excel skills (cost analysis, reports, reconciliations) Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
