About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced professional certifications and a strong background in financial reporting, auditing, and strategic planning. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of managing complex financial operations and providing actionable insights to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies.

General Ledger Management:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and the maintenance of the general ledger.

Audit & Compliance:

Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with local financial regulations and VAT requirements.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts; analyze variances and report on financial performance.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and implement internal controls to minimize risk.

Team Leadership:

Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.

Certifications:

Must hold a recognized professional designation (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA).

Experience:

Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Soft Skills:

Exceptional analytical skills, strong command of English (written and verbal), and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
