Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join us.

As Senior Accountant, you will be handling financial and bookkeeping processes, including managing a team of experienced accountants.

Duties:

Book and record financial transactions (receivables & payables), reconcile sub-ledgers and ledgers, prepare financial statements;

Devise monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, projections, and forecasts;

Assess internal controls and risks and derive ways of mitigating risks;

Prepare periodical reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) and identify areas of improvement and cost savings;

Prepare, support, and coordinate annual external audits of the company's finances.

Responsibilities:

At least 5, ideally 7+ years of experience in financial management and accounting in an eCommerce business or digital startup;

2+ years of experience with UAE VAT regulations;

2+ years of experience with Oracle / ERP

A Bachelor's and/or Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or general Business Administration;

At least 1 accounting certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.), ideally also with certification & experience in IFRS;

Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written) in English.
