Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Abu dhabi
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, and financial management of all group entities. The role requires strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting, tax compliance, and financial controls, as well as the ability to manage accounting operations in a fast-paced and diversified business environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain full sets of accounts for multiple business entities within the group.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations across all group entities.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial
  • Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Perform bank reconciliations for all group accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution
  • of discrepancies.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Handle VAT and Corporate Tax registration, filing, and refund processes in compliance with
  • local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns and coordinate with tax advisors or
  • authorities as needed.
  • Manage and control petty cash disbursements, reconciliation, and documentation. Supervise
  • petty cash management across all departments or branches, ensuring proper control and
  • documentation.
  • Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes for all companies within the group.
  • Prepare financial analysis and management reports for decision-making purposes.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries, accruals, and
  • provisions.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of
  • audit queries.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate
  • financial reporting.
  • Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Support ERP/accounting software implementation, migration, or optimization as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or similar qualification is a plus.)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a group of companies or multi-industry organization.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in IFRS, VAT, and corporate tax compliance.
  • Proven experience in financial consolidation across multiple entities and sectors.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Oracle, SAP).
  • Excellent understanding of cash flow management, cost control, and financial risk assessment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

AED 6,000 AED 9,000 (depending on experience and qualifications
