We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and delivering insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong accounting acumen, excellent analytical capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
Conduct complex account reconciliations and proactively resolve any discrepancies.
Support and participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Analyze financial data to provide management with insightful reports highlighting trends, variances, and business performance indicators.
Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, and support any internal audit processes.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior accounting staff, promoting professional development and high performance.
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial transparency.
Stay informed on updates to accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax legislation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and HR to ensure cohesive financial reporting.
Oversee accounts receivable and collections, ensuring timely resolution of unpaid invoices and effective credit control measures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a core accounting role.
CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification (preferred).
Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding and implementation of internal financial controls.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Knowledge of UAE tax laws and regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.).
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
