Meridian Trade Links is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and experience in managing junior staff. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting activities and maintain general ledger accuracy Reconcile account balances and bank statements Produce accurate financial reports and present findings to management Analyze financial information to summarize financial status Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting Review, recommend, and implement improvements to accounting systems and procedures Supervise and guide junior accountants and bookkeepers Assist in the preparation of tax returns and support audit processes Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations Lead the month-end and year-end close processes Develop and document accounting policies and internal controls

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations Hands-on experience with accounting software and MS Excel Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage and lead a team effectively Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent is a plus)
