Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Senior Accountant

to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in accounting, financial reporting, and auditing, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS or applicable standards. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Reconcile accounts, verify financial records and transactions. Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Supervise and support junior accountants. Ensure timely filing of VAT and other regulatory requirements. Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities as needed. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets. Review supplier invoices, expense reports, and payroll entries. Provide financial advice and reports to management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, SAP, Focus). Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial regulations. Excellent Excel and data analysis skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the construction, engineering, or fire protection industry is a plus. Bilingual in English and Arabic is an advantage.
