About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Alexandria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes. Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts. Support budgeting and forecasting activities. Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, accruals, and adjustments. Assist in external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and support. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making. Recommend and implement improvements in accounting procedures and internal controls. Utilize accounting software (SAGE is a plus) to perform day-to-day financial operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). CPA or CMA certification is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in accounting or a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with SAGE is a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles and local tax regulations. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Fluent in English
