The Senior Account Manager will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, executing public affairs and advocacy strategies, and supporting government relations efforts, particularly in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have strong agency experience and a deep understanding of the media landscape in the UAE, along with a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and campaigns. Ideally, the candidate brings prior experience in managing clients from the healthcare and consumer sectors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Act as the day-to-day lead for client accounts, ensuring seamless delivery of services
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, their partner agencies, media, and different stakeholders.
Develop PA and advocacy plans and presentations in conjunction with senior staff
Participate in client plan presentations
Execute plans and projects on behalf of clients, with support from junior team members
Monitor status and manage projects to ensure on-time completion in line with client expectations
Oversee all project administrative duties including contract set-up and maintenance, time approval, and the preparation of accurate client reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
Mentor and oversee junior team members, ensuring high standards and professional development
Support government relations and public affairs advisory efforts in the UAE for healthcare and consumer clients
Apply strategic communications, public affairs, and campaign planning principles effectively
Interpret and navigate the regulatory landscape in the region
Utilize all available tools and resources to complete client tasks efficiently
Build and maintain strong media and government stakeholder relationships
Deliver compelling and well-structured presentations to both clients and internal stakeholders
Collaborate effectively in a team environment with a resourceful and proactive approach
Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally
Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Apply strong analytical and quantitative skills to client work
Interpret market insights and apply them to drive impact
Requirements
5+ years of relevant work experience
University degree in Business, International Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
Strong knowledge of the UAE landscape
Previous client servicing experience in an agency, preferably within the healthcare and consumer sectors.
Excellent client relationship and customer service skills
Proven leadership and decision-making abilities
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
