About the role
Ogilvy Sydney is hiring a Senior Account Manager to work on the agency's largest account, KFC Australia. The account is fast-paced, expands across multiple touchpoints in each campaign, and offers many growth opportunities.
The team and client are part of what makes this role so unique. Ogilvy holds a longstanding and collaborative relationship with KFC and the wider agency village. The team is tight-knit, supportive, has no egos, and is always looking for ways to have fun on the day-to-day.
As a Senior Account Manager, you will need to know the business inside out and work with our Senior Account Director to be the client's trusted advisor. You will also be responsible for managing team members and lifting the team around them, supporting through workloads, representing the account back to the agency, and championing the great work that is being built.
What you'll do
Build an open, honest, and trusting relationship with the client, the account management team, the creative department, and all other agency partners
Create the best possible opportunities for creative development by supporting teams in creative development and understanding how it delivers business challenges
Work alongside a village team with like-minded colleagues, ensuring that teamwork and collaboration are front and centre of that process
Be involved in team development and support your team environment through collaboration and inclusivity
Approve/write creative briefs that are concise and actionable and create a sense of direction and creative opportunity
Approve creative work that is on strategy and ensure work is effectively presented and executed to clients
Provide final account service approval on all production, print and any other product of the agency's work
Develop a thorough understanding of the client's brand and its competitive environment so that the agency is jointly driving the strategy and adding value to the relationship
Work with internal stakeholders to get things done on time, on budget and with the right quality, including peers across departments and disciplines
Manage the professional development of direct reports, including feedback and coaching and efficient delegation
Develop a strong relationship with the client and ensure they are kept in the loop with work in progress
Actively identify/develop additional business opportunities within assigned clients

Ability to be a good judge of creative work in terms of factual accuracy and relevance to the brief
