Employees can request religious and/or medical exemptions to this requirement by following the process outlined in the offer letter.The Senior Account Manager, Custom is responsible for the overall health and performance of their respective portfolio including list management, annual moderate growth in portfolio value, acquisition of new titles and projects, and delivering on customers' requested needs in their original content print or digital product. The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible for developing strong author relationships, communication across stakeholder groups, and demonstrate intermediate level project management skills. The Sr. Account Manager must collaborate with the sales and marketing teams and is responsible for demonstrating and training our custom capabilities/products to our existing customers. Sr. Account Managers are also responsible for mentoring and/or managing entry level account managers. This position is eligible for remote employment, it will exclude the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Hawaii, Mississippi, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Strategically manage a base of up to 4.5M in portfolio revenue by managing publishing cycles of individual titles, ensuring all customers are in a solution that meets their individual/course needs, and identification of growth strategies.Analyze sales and production reports to maintain and grow portfolio key indicators, including: profitability, manuscript delivery, and overall portfolio value. Report out on key indicators as part of performance reviews and goal discussions with manager.Senior Account Managers are responsible for all author communication during product lifecycle including manuscript deadlines, proofing deadlines, contracts, and pricing communications.Nurture collaborative relationships with local field sales teams by quarterly adoption meetings, following established communication protocols, and campus travel. Ensure tracking is up-to-date for all programs including BC14, Salesforce.com; update notes to reflect all conversations and events with authors/potential customers. Create action plans for field sales based on information collected.Demonstrate our products and capabilities to existing and potential authors, train customers in Achieve, follow up with new leads provided by marketing. Train customers on Achieve for all adoptions below 25k in annual revenue.Provide all necessary documentation to editorial assistants, media editors, and CPMs in a timely fashion to ensure there are no delays in project initiation. Schedule editorial launch meetings for all new/complex projects.Responsible for working with Executive Account managers and Program Director to respond to pricing requests, creating P&Ls for projects and submitting for financial approval. Responsible for contract evaluation/requests for themselves and mentees/direct reports.Responsibilities include mentoring or managing new entry level account managers, acting as a resource for training/information for all account managers, participating in manager training programs, taking on a leadership role within regular meetings, developing training materials, collaborating with T&L specialists to deliver trainings on new functionality of Achieve or new product developments.Must be able to multitask; critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to deal with multiple interruptions and competing priorities.Requires long periods of close concentration.Must be able to travel occasionally and work more than 40 hours/week as needed.
