Parsons is seeking an experienced and technically proficient

Security Systems Expert (CCTV / Access Control Systems)

to join our team for a major railway project in the UAE. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective design, integration, and delivery of advanced electronic security systems that safeguard railway infrastructure, assets, and passengers.


The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and commissioning of all security-related systems, including

CCTV surveillance

,

Access Control Systems (ACS)

,

Intrusion Detection

, and

Perimeter Protection

across stations, depots, tunnels, and operational control centers. The role requires extensive collaboration with multidisciplinary design teams, contractors, client representatives, and government security authorities to ensure compliance with international standards and UAE regulations.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead the design, integration, and delivery of security systems across railway facilities, including stations, depots, tunnels, and operations control centers. Develop and review

CCTV and Access Control System (ACS)

designs, layouts, device placement, and communication architecture. Ensure full

system integration

with Operational Control Systems (OCS), SCADA, and Building Management Systems (BMS) for unified monitoring and control. Prepare and review

technical documentation

, including system specifications, interface control documents, and network schematics. Coordinate with MEP, telecom, and IT design teams to ensure seamless system interoperability. Oversee

testing and commissioning

activities, including FAT, SAT, and Integrated System Testing (IST), ensuring performance and compliance with design intent. Ensure alignment with

UAE security laws

, client-specific security protocols, and

international standards

such as BS EN 50132 (CCTV), BS EN 60839 (ACS), and IEC 62443. Participate in

risk assessments

and

security audits

, identifying potential vulnerabilities in system design or implementation. Provide expert advice on

vendor selection

, system procurement, and evaluation of contractor submittals. Support operations teams in developing maintenance strategies, training plans, and operational readiness procedures. Liaise with

security agencies, transport authorities, and regulatory bodies

to ensure design approval and compliance. Support incident management and system optimization post-handover to enhance security effectiveness and reliability.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Security Systems Engineering, or a related field.

15 years

of experience in the design, integration, and commissioning of

electronic security systems

, preferably within

railway, metro, or critical infrastructure

projects. Minimum 5 years of experience in

railway or metro security systems

integration and multi-station implementation is mandatory.

Technical Expertise:

+ CCTV surveillance networks (IP-based systems, video analytics, VMS platforms).
+ Access Control Systems (card, biometric, or smart credential-based systems).
+ Intrusion Detection and Perimeter Security Systems.
+ Network infrastructure, redundancy design, and system integration with OCS/SCADA.
Familiarity with international standards such as

BS EN 50132

,

BS EN 60839

,

IEC 62443

, and

UAE security compliance frameworks

. Demonstrated experience managing design reviews, interface coordination, and system commissioning for large-scale projects. Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
