Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly responsible Security Supervisor to oversee our security operations and lead a team of security officers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel and property on our premises. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of security protocols, and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of security officers. Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions on security procedures, emergency response, and customer service. Perform performance evaluations, provide coaching, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary. Foster a professional, alert, and service-oriented security culture.

Security Operations:

Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures. Oversee access control systems, monitor CCTV surveillance, and manage alarm response. Conduct regular patrols and security inspections of the facility to identify and resolve potential security risks. Ensure all security equipment is functional and report any maintenance needs.

Incident Management & Reporting:

Serve as the first point of contact for all security incidents and emergencies. Respond to and lead the resolution of security breaches, alarms, and other critical situations. Conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed, accurate incident reports for management. Liaise with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services as required.

Administrative Duties:

Review and approve daily activity reports, incident logs, and officer timesheets. Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage at all times. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new security personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3-5 years of security experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Valid state security guard license and ability to pass an extensive background check. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with security systems, including CCTV and access control software. Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Preferred:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field. Experience in [Your Industry, e.g., corporate security, retail loss prevention, hospital security]. Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal security regulations.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This role may require working evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and in various weather conditions. May require lifting or carrying equipment up to 25 lbs.
