About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Security Manager to deliver strategic security measures for Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel and Spa under the guidance of Jumeirah Group Security and within the limits of established Jumeirah policies and procedures. The successful candidate must oversee and direct all aspect of Security and Safety within the Hotel and responsible for supervising and participating in the activities of all personnel engaged in securing and protection of the property, employees, and guests. Your key responsibilities will include: Direct and coordinate the activities of all security personnel to maintain Jumeirah security standards. Coordinate with outside police agencies in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents, etc., involving the property, colleagues, and guests to satisfactorily resolve incidents. Ensure that all allegations of crime and other incidents are investigated and recorded to ensure proper action is taken. Proactively identifies emergency procedures, its implementation, training and awareness among all colleagues and guests (where applicable). Coordinate with Regional/Group Security for any collective initiative or project implementation to ensure consistency across the Group. Complete Investigation Reports of Incidents as and when applicable to ensure accurate records are maintained. Establish and maintain comprehensive key controls to ensure appropriate access. Maintain lost and found property and property deposited with Security for safekeeping to assist the return of property to rightful owners. Responsible for coordinating Crisis Management system and exercises in order key people understand their responsibilities. Be familiar with all procedures related to fire prevention and evacuation and to ensure prompt decision making in line with the safety and security of guests and colleagues. Prepare comprehensive budgets and forecasts to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the department. Manage and control overall expenses of the department. Suggest capital projects to deliver enhanced guest experience and Hotel profitability. Ensure all capital expenditure projects are conducted in line with policy. Hire, train, develop, direct, and supervise the work of the employees in the Security department. Conduct regular departmental meetings to provide vital information to the Security colleagues. Conduct performance appraisals to review colleagues' general performance and discuss any areas for development and highlight areas of strength. Develop all department colleagues for future advancement. Help create, promote, and foster a positive work environment based on the Jumeirah principles where all Colleagues feel engaged, appreciated, and heard. Ensure that a culture of innovation is firmly in place in the department. Interview, train, monitor and supervise all aspects regarding casual labour. Prepare rosters and schedules which allow appropriate service. Control the casual labour utilization and ensure all casual labour adhere to Hotel guidelines. Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Hotel Management and Jumeirah Group Security. About You: In order to be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in the Security industry, a minimum of 5 years Security Management experience, preferably within the international hospitality industry. It is desirable that you possess a recognized Security qualification, and experience working in the GCC. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, as well as knowledge of various Security systems such as CCTV, fire-fighting, evacuation, first-aid training, risk and crisis management skills, and operational proficiency in Health and Safety.
