Fixing screed rails or levelling guides.
Mixing sand, cement, and water in correct proportions.
Using ready-mix or site-mixed screed as per project specifications.
Pouring and spreading screed over the prepared surface.
Applying manual or pump-applied screed depending on project type.
Ensuring correct thickness and slope, especially in wet areas like bathrooms.
Using straightedges, screed bars, and trowels to level and smooth the surface.
Achieving a flat, compacted, and crack-free finish.
Checking levels using laser level or spirit level.
TILES Responsibilities:
Cleaning the substrate (concrete, wall, screed, etc.)
Leveling the surface and applying primer if needed
Measuring and marking layout lines
Selecting the correct type of adhesive.
Mixing adhesive to the proper consistency
Applying adhesive evenly using a notched trowel
Placing tiles as per layout and alignment
Using spacers to maintain uniform grout joints
Cutting tiles with manual/electric cutters where necessary
Removing excess adhesive before it sets
Mixing and applying grout between tiles
Cleaning the surface to remove grout haze.
