Core Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and rigorous lessons in Biology and Chemistry across KS4 and KS5, incorporating elements of Physics to ensure scientific breadth
• Use inquiry-based learning, laboratory investigations, and real-world applications to inspire curiosity and deepen scientific understanding
• Integrate advanced technologies such as virtual labs, AR/VR simulations, and AI-driven tools into daily instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary STEM initiatives and sustainability-focused science projects
• Design and implement differentiated learning strategies to meet the diverse academic needs of students
• Maintain accurate student records and provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
• Guide students in scientific research, academic competitions, and university preparation in life sciences and applied sciences
• Contribute to school-wide science outreach, enrichment events, and academic-industry collaborations
• Participate actively in professional development, curriculum reviews, and whole-school improvement planning

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with PGCE/PGDE or BEd in Science or related field (Master's preferred)
• Proven experience teaching Biology and Chemistry at KS4/KS5 (GCSEs and A-Levels) or international equivalents
• Strong practical knowledge of laboratory safety, experimental design, and scientific communication
• Ability to embed sustainability, biotechnology, health sciences, and emerging research topics into curriculum delivery
• Comfortable using digital platforms and cloud-based tools to support teaching and assessment
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, support, and stretch students of varying abilities and aspirations
• Committed to a collaborative and inclusive teaching culture with strong interpersonal communication skills
